A big thank you to everyone who supported the plant sale last Saturday (April 30th) in the village hall. Lots of hard work went into making this event a success, whether by growing plants and seedlings for sale, making cakes and other goodies, manning stalls, serving refreshments, helping to set up and clear away, or just coming along and joining in. Special mentions must include
Pauline and Diane, and anyone else who helped in the kitchen – the scones and cakes were just delicious; Nick for running the raffle; Julie for her lovely home-made eats and unusual plants; and, of course, our secretary Greta for organising the whole thing.
Well done, all of you! We raised a grand total of £520, which will go towards paying speakers for the season beginning in September, and subsidising events like the Christmas party and annual outing.
